6 HLV students were inducted into the National Honor Society

Tuesday October 6th, the 4 active members of the HLV Chieftain Council of National Honor Society inducted 6 candidates.

To be considered for membership the 4 attributes a student must possess are scholarship, leadership, service, and character. They must also have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher. There is also a selection process where the faculty evaluates each candidates on these areas. The members then take part in a number of service projects.

The 2009 inductees are Reed DeBrower, Abbey Dental, Cecilia Hagen Carlin Michalek, Candace Pierce and Preston Warnick. The active members are Dustin Deppe, Erynn DeRycke, and Morgan Schafbuch.
