Sometimes you just have to provide a little relief.
Quite some time back, we ran a rock in the middle of a state park - it was no real surprise that no one knew where it was. It was a cool rock, though.
Last week, we had a monument to those we as a nation owe a debt that can never be repaid. The monument was just outside the Victor American Legion Hall on Third Street - to make it easier, the photo included a big hint.
Jeanne Kochuyt (OK, so you cheated! Just kidding - great to hear from you) got it as did Jan Bringmann (who will now be in the elite group of those who appear twice in a single column - read on), Kurt Kahler (good to hear about the shakes - expect to see Michelle and me in our regular booth soon) and Monte Wenger (thanks for the kind words - I appreciate it).
In our ‘Mitch is an Idiot’ award for the week we have Jan Bringmann (ding, ding, ding! Twice in a week) who correctly guessed the water tower in Ladora a few weeks ago. Joining her in this illustrious category is Kandi Willett (always great to hear from you).
Mrs. Zhu Yuning, an accountant with the famed ‘Multi-Millions Group’ also wrote in - she didn’t know where the monument was but she was pleased to inform me that I won $17 million! Well, that just makes my day!
