The pastoral scene from last week isn’t always that - just a few months ago a tornado blew through that area running northbound just a hundred or so yards off the bridge in the photo - which is located a few miles west of Victor on Old Highway 6.
To be honest, I’m not sure if anyone actually identified it but Denise Van Otegham (thanks for the note and the kind words - it’s great to hear from you) was close enough. Jeanne Kochuyt (I would say that is my favorite as well. As for starting a paper - do I look crazy? Thanks for the note!) sent in her favorite Simon & Garfunkel album which is, of course, Bridge Over Troubled Water.
This week we take to the skies over East Iowa. This is what it would look like if you were, say, a thousand feet tall.
