VICTOR - The HLV Warriors slammed the Lone Tree Lions 44-9 to win the first round of the high school football playoffs. The Lions were first on the board with a breakaway touch down run on their first drive. The Warriors responded with a vengeance, keeping the lions from the end zone for the remainder of the game. The Lions racked up two additional points from a safety late in the fourth quarter.
The Warriors will now advance to the next round, traveling to Brooklyn to take on BGM on Monday.
